Insert Symbol/Macro

Displays the Insert Symbol/Macro dialog used to place symbols or macros in the current model.

Accessed from:

2D Design/Panel Design

3D Design

  • 2D Design Ribbon > Components Group
  • Panel Design Ribbon > Components Group
  • 3D Ribbon > Components Group
Note: If accessing from the 3D ribbon, the Symbol By Part number will be selected by default. The user will need to switch to the Symbol By Name mode.

The Insert Symbol/Macro dialog has the following options by which to insert a symbol or macro into the model:

Insert Symbol by Name
Insert Symbol By Part Number
Insert Symbol By Device ID
Insert Macro
